In April 2018, I visited the newly opened Khao-I-Dang Learning Center, near Thailand’s border crossing in Aranyapratet, and was so moved by my experience that I want to share it with others who might have lived or worked there when it was in operation from 1979 to 1993. Thailand's Khao-I-Dang Refugee Camp sheltered 160,000 Cambodians from 1979-1993. In 2016, it reopened as a memorial site and education center. I visited in 2018. Here are instructions for how to contact and visit, some of KID's history, and my experience there. Thank you for visiting.
